If you see something, say something. Reporting suspicious behavior helps protect our community.

NTAC covers 16 of Nevada's 17 counties. Activity in Clark County goes to the Southern Nevada Counter Terrorism Center, which we work alongside.

Recognize the Signs: Behavioral Indicators

If you see something, say something. Understanding these indicators helps protect our community.

  • Expressed or implied threat

    Communicating a verbal or written threat of harm.

  • Observation/surveillance

    Extended or unusual interest in a facility beyond normal use.

  • Photography

    Taking covert photos or video of security or restricted areas.

  • Theft/loss/diversion

    Stealing or diverting items like badges or uniforms.

  • Testing or probing of security

    Challenging security systems to assess weaknesses.

  • Aviation activity

    Interfering with aircraft operation or posing a threat.

  • Breach/attempted intrusion

    Unauthorized access or impersonating personnel.

  • Misrepresentation

    Presenting false documents to conceal illegal activity.

  • Eliciting information

    Questioning personnel beyond mere curiosity about operations.

  • Acquisition of expertise

    Seeking training on security or military tactics.

  • Cyberattack

    Disrupting or compromising critical information systems.

  • Recruiting/financing

    Funding or recruiting for criminal or terrorist activity.

  • Sabotage/tampering/vandalism

    Damaging or destroying facilities or infrastructure.

  • Materials acquisition/storage

    Stockpiling unusual items like toxic materials.

  • Weapons collection/storage

    Unusually large collection of weapons or explosives.

  • Sector-specific incident

    Actions raising concern for specific sectors (e.g., power).

The above activities should only be reported if they are conducted in a manner that would arouse suspicion of terrorism.
